Share Your Story with Care and Confidence
Whether you are a church leader, staff member at an organization, or an individual advocate, you have a story of why you are passionate about foster care—and you want to tell it in a compelling and respectful way. But from figuring out what’s appropriate to share to figuring out what to cut when you don’t have much time, telling your story can be challenging.
Enroll in this 90-minute, on-demand workshop to gain the skills and confidence to share your story in a way that mobilizes others, honors the complexity of your story, and respects all the people in it.
What You Can Expect
Guidance from a Practiced Storyteller
Jason Weber, National Director of More Than Enough, will share what he’s learned about letting purpose, time, and wisdom shape how he tells his story. He’ll demo how he shares his story in different lengths of time and walk you through the principles he uses to craft and focus his story.
A Worksheet to Build Your Story
Step by step, you’ll apply what you learn to sharing your story and your passion for children and families in foster care. And you can return to the worksheet as often as you like, adapting your story for different settings and audiences.
Guidelines for Dignifying Storytelling
You’ll find simple tools and learning resources to ensure that you’re upholding the dignity of everyone involved in your story, and that you’re sharing it in a way that builds bridges with everyone in your community.
